Slice thin eight cold boiled potatoes and cover with dressing made as follows: Yolk of one hard-boiled egg, mashed fine, one T. mixed mustard, 4 T. melted butter, 4 T. vinegar, 1 tsp. salt and a little pepper; a finely cut onion gives a pleasant flavor.
1 small can crushed pineapple in juice (reserve fruit to use)
1 3/4 lbs. potatoes (peeled, diced)
6 C. watermelon, cut in 1-inch cubes
1, 8 oz. pkg. corn bread mix (like Jiffy)
Cook’s note: This recipe will dress 5 lbs. cabbage (cut super fine is best).
